Feed Back

  • Review and adjust the color palette, reducing heavy pinks and purples to avoid blown-out colors and product inaccuracy

  • Ensure the bedding reads as white to stay aligned with brand identity

  • Source more subdued lighting references, smooth the lighting transition between the Cloudscape and Hotel Room scenes

  • Avoid overly saturated lighting to prevent color spill onto the actress’s pajamas

  • Film test footage in advance to check for color spill and lighting issues

  • Test and confirm the feasibility of the lying-down shot

  • Use test footage to ensure cloth simulations accurately match the actress’s movement and maintain realism

Our plan

As a team, we’ve identified several key changes we plan to make to our project. We’ve decided to shift toward a more neutral color palette, using softer tones to create a cohesive and refined visual style. We’re also removing the clouds so we can focus more closely on improving the quality of our weaving, embroidery, and cloth effects. After hearing the feedback on other groups’ presentations, we realized that our camera movements could be more dynamic and expressive. In response, we plan to explore more dynamic camera work to create more visual interest.

By our next meeting with the mentors, we aim to have a look-dev rig of our materials completed, along with 3D pre-vis of all our shots put together. This will allow us to better evaluate the overall look of our project and what we should continue to iterate on.
