Week 9
At the start of this week we had the chance to meet the mentors in person. We also got some feedback ahead of the last week of this project. Week 8
This week our focus was on preparing for our in-person meeting with the mentors at the start of Week 9. Our goal was to have all shots approximately 99% complete in advance of that review. Overall, the shots are in a strong position. The refinements we made this week were shot-specific and aimed at maintaining visual consistency across the sequence. Week 7
This week has been all about fine-tuning our shots to ensure we’re on track to hit our goal of having everything 90% complete by the end of the week. This week, our primary focus was to finalize an improved edit that fixed the pacing of our shots, followed by refining elements in our shots. This week we focused on refining the details across all shots as we completed our first render pass ahead of our mentor meeting. The feedback we received was extremely valuable and helped us clarify our priorities moving forward. This week our focus was on refining our cloth simulations and updating the shot list. We completed an initial render pass for all shots to better understand how they will ultimately be composited and edited. Week 2 | Textures and Lighting
During Week 2, we focused on developing our look-development rig, assembling a 3D previs for each shot, and creating an initial lighting test based on our updated references. Ella Lawlor and I gathered reference material for the various surfaces and materials within our hotel environment.
